I have put together all the AIW counters as designed in colour by David Little. They take up 3-1/2 panels of 180 counters each. They went off to the printer’s on Thursday. They were scheduled to be back Friday afternoon, but the printer gave me a call and said there would be a hold-up. I wonder how long this hold-up may be. Probably Tuesday morning (Monday is a holiday here.)
Already back from the printer and ready to go for die-cutting are the counters for Kriegspiel. They are waiting for the AIW counters to get back, as they are the same size – 5/8″ – so they can go together as a bunch. There are enough of them, and if there weren’t, I have some Pacific War aircraft counters the same size that can go as part of the batch.
Something I have been working on for a while now is a set of British counters – ship and search – for the Indian Ocean Raid, to be used with the Midway counters. I’ve really had them done for a while now. The main sticking point is the set of rules that has to go with them. They have to reflect the all-or-nothing type of situation for both sides. I’m not sure when this item will be available for my customers.
The Fortress Europa counters are at the die-cutter’s, along with some batches of counters that were running low in stock. They all should be back some time this coming week.
Something else I have been fiddling with are a set of tactical counters for the Frederick the Great game. The counters themselves are pretty much designed. What I have yet to do is come up with some rules to go with them, plus some maps to use with them. I’m not sure if they will ever see the light of day, or even if they will be welcomed by my customers.
Other than all that, I’m not sure what I will be working on next.
